Hello, friends! This fall, we invested in our team’s growth and connected with industry leaders at conferences shaping the future of education and healthcare to drive language access forward.

We traveled coast-to-coast, attending conferences like Camden Coalition, LocWorld 54, Paving the Way to Educational Success, North Carolina World Trade Association, and the 2025 Refugee Education Summit.

We loved sharing our new Language ID Chart with folks around the country as a resource to help easily identify spoken languages in real-world situations. We’ve created a few versions of it for you to download, print, and share that can be found here!

We also partnered with Marisa Rueda Will, CHI, of Tica Interpreter Training and Translations, LLC, for a professional development session with our interpreters. Marisa designed a thoughtful, collaborative training that helped our linguists strengthen their vocabulary, explore ethical decision-making, and build lasting connections.

Announcements We celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by speaking at the Pennsylvania Latino Convention. Mary Jayne McCullough, our founder & CEO, and Adriana Sanchez-Solis, one of our interpretation vendor managers, shared their 30+ years of combined leadership in the field of language accessibility alongside Anne Lambright, head, Department of Languages, Cultures, and Applied Linguistics at Carnegie Mellon University and Maria Cecilia Q. Dancisin, senior manager, International Department at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Technology Updates As of November 15th, a new call rating feature will be available for all partners utilizing on-demand phone services. After each call, your team can quickly rate call quality and interpreter performance (1-5 stars), with an optional 30-second voice comment to share feedback.

Please note, ratings happen immediately after the call and will not add any billable time! Your input helps us to enhance our interpretation services and training programs.

Social Impact

We recently teamed up with our friends at Casa San Jose for a “Know Your Rights” training to empower our staff and linguists to safely defend one another and our fellow community members during encounters with Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE). They also provided our team with the Immigrant Legal Resource Center's red cards that provide examples of how people can exercise these rights.
