Hello, friends.
As a mission-driven language service provider working alongside refugee and immigrant communities, our role is rooted in care, especially during moments of uncertainty. We are committed to ensuring that people can access critical information, services, and resources in a language they understand. But we also strive to honor our mission by showing up with compassion and responding to real needs as they arise. That means investing in and uplifting our linguists by supporting their passions and professional growth; offering comfort and connection to neighbors during challenging times; and collaborating closely with local nonprofit partners to identify meaningful ways to give back. As our communities continue to face political violence, food insecurity, economic strain, and the ideological divisions that continue to polarize us, we remain steadfast in our commitment to spreading love, compassion, and advocacy in everything we do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing in solidarity with us. With love, Mary Jayne
Happy Birthday Global Wordsmiths!
Yesterday, we celebrated nine years in business. What began as an idea on Mary Jayne’s couch has grown into one of the most trusted language service providers in Southwestern Pennsylvania and beyond. We are incredibly grateful for the clients, linguists, partners, and community members who have supported us along the way.
This milestone belongs to all of us!

Social Impact
On January 24, our Director of Vendor Management and talented soprano, Lilly Abreu, performed at Chatham University’s Music for Food: Happy Birthday Mozart, a musician-led initiative for local hunger relief.

Giving Back
Our team is always looking for ways to give back, so we included a few of the nonprofits that we regularly support and which could use a little extra help right now.
Team Spotlight

We are excited to introduce Keri, who has joined our team as an Intern for the next few months. Keri is a dual-degree student at the University of Pittsburgh, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. She is already a perfect fit for our mission, bringing valuable experience as a Spanish Medical Interpreter at the Birmingham Free Clinic and holding leadership roles in relevant student associations. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!
