Hello, friends.
Spring is finally upon us – even if it comes in short waves of warmth and sunshine.
I’m excited to share that we continue to make great strides in our expansion into Central PA. A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of discussing language access, our expansion into the region, and why it matters with my colleague, Interpretation Vendor Manager Adriana Sanchez-Solis, on NPR member station WITF’s The Spark. Click here to listen.
Our staff also continues to grow through training, advocacy, and well-deserved recognition, as you’ll see below. As always, thanks for being here and for your ongoing support!
With love, Mary Jayne
Social Impact
Creating equitable opportunities for small, diverse, and disability-owned businesses like ours is something we strongly believe in. That's why we are proud to announce that our Senior Director of Sales, Meredith Getachew, was sworn in as a member of the Pennsylvania Advisory Council for Inclusive Procurement (PACIP). The PACIP is a statewide council working to ensure every business has an equal opportunity to be successful. Through expanded certification programs, outreach events, and new partnerships, PACIP advises the Governor's Office and state agencies on building a more inclusive procurement process across the commonwealth. We're committed to being part of that change by supporting Meredith in her new role.

Linguist Spotlight We are thrilled to spotlight on Eliot, one of our most-trusted interpreters, who earned her Spanish language interpretation certification from the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI). This prestigious credential represents her outstanding commitment to excellence in medical interpretation and reflects the standard of care and professionalism she brings to her work. We are incredibly grateful for Eliot's dedication and the invaluable service she brings to our team. Congratulations, Eliot!

Thank you to nearly 30 of our interpreters for attending our PSSA/Keystone Exam Informational Training Session on March 18, 2026. Global Wordsmiths designed this specialized training to prepare our interpreters for their role interpreting in more than ten languages during this year’s PSSA testing period. As always, we are so grateful to each of them for their commitment to supporting our local school districts.
If you are interested in scheduling one of our interpreters for any of your PSSA/Keystone Exam needs, please contact scheduling@globalwordsmiths.com.
