Hi, friends.
Summer is finally upon us, and we’ve been busy attending conferences in Central PA, helping schools wrap up the school year by providing them with PSSA testing support, and spending time training and supporting our local language interpreters. There are several fun and exciting international events happening in June that we’ve listed for you under our event’s section, along with a few in honor of Father’s Day.
As kids settle in for summer break, we also wanted to share a few resources for families to check out to keep kids engaged over the next few months. The Latino Community Center, Melting Pot Ministries, YWCA Greater Pittsburgh, JCC PGH, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, RAD Pass, KIDSBURGH, and ARYSE are some of our favorite organizations that support children and families, just to name a few.
Enjoy the warmth and sunshine! And Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful fathers out there.
Love,
Mary Jayne

Making an Impact in Central PA
Our Senior Director of Sales, Meredith Getachew, and our Interpretation Vendor Manager, Adriana Sánchez-Solís, attended the 2026 Pennsylvania Health Equity Summit: Dialogue to Action, in Lancaster, PA.
Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the summit was a vital opportunity to form partnerships to help transform communities across the Commonwealth. Understanding health equity across the Commonwealth, for all citizens of PA, demands a better understanding of linguistic, socio-economic, and historical backgrounds. We were excited to join our fellow advocates calling for more emphasis on language access through interpretation and translation – services that we specialize in and provide to local government, hospitals, mental and behavioral health providers, educational institutions, and social service-based nonprofits throughout PA.

Providing Ongoing Training Support
Our linguists are more than bilingual—they are highly trained professionals. We provide each interpreter with comprehensive training that goes beyond practical skills, covering best practices, mental and behavioral health, grief and trauma, boundaries, sensitivity, and navigating complex situations right in our office. Last month, we held several training sessions to help them build the confidence and readiness needed to perform effectively in real-world situations. We currently have nearly 300 local interpreters ready to assist!

Social Impact Members of our interpretation vendor management team, Lilly Abreu and Adriana Sánchez-Solís, were invited to speak at JFCS' Immigrant Workforce Program (IWP) and connected with several people who are interested in interpretation. We’re looking forward to hopefully having these individuals join our team over the next few months. Thanks to JFCS for the invite!

Linguist Spotlight

We love it when our linguists share life’s special moments with us. Yamila, one of our Spanish interpreters, married the love of her life this spring, and was sweet enough to share some pictures with us. Congratulations to the happy couple! Cheers to many years of love, good health, and happiness!
Employee Spotlight

We're proud to announce that our Interpretation Vendor Manager, Adriana Sánchez-Solís, recently joined the board for the Pennsylvania Immigrant and Refugee Women's Network (PAIRWN).
PAIRWN provides leadership and mentorship for immigrant and refugee women to support their journey in self-sufficiency. Adriana continues making great strides in supporting the immigrant and refugee community as we continue expanding into Central PA.

In this session, you will explore the basic principles of trauma-informed care, discuss common trauma reactions, and learn practical ways to mitigate the effects of secondary traumatic stress in your roles as interpreters.
