Interpreter Training for Bilingual Helpers

Sometimes, using a bilingual staff member, family member or "helper" is the most cost-effective way to communicate with LEP clients, patients, etc. But family members can present privacy and confidentiality issues, and bilingual helpers or staff who have not received interpreter training can do more harm than good. 

This training was designed to instruct bilingual staff, helpers or individuals in the best practices, ethics, roles & responsibilities of professional interpretation so that their skills can be used to improve accessibility and compliance.
