Word of Mouth - September 2019

September 2019

Announcements:

NIT Language Services + Global Wordsmiths Partnership. We are so excited to announce that Global Wordsmiths and Nepali Interpretation and Translation, Inc. have joined forced to bring more Nepali language interpreters to service providers in Western PA. Stay tuned for more details! https://www.nitnepali.com/

We are hiring! Global Wordsmiths is hiring a Project Manager. Responsibilities will include written translation workflow and project oversight, with some administrative duties. Part-time to begin, transitioning to a full-time, salaried position after a trial period. Contact careers@globalwordsmiths.com for more information or to apply.

Language Access Project kickoff! We welcomed 9 new interns last week to kickoff a special cycle of The Language Access Project: Census 2020. From now until December, these awesome interns will translate census materials and interpret in-person for census outreach activities under our mentorship, in an effort to increase census participation among English learners. The languages in which these activities will take place this semester are: Arabic, Swahili, Nepali, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Uzbek and Russian. For questions about The Language Access Project or to get involved, contact Meredith Getachew at meredith@globalwordsmiths.com.

With love,

Mary Jayne
